So the kids gave me the nickname “Tatertotdiaperman”. A few years later, when I decided to give wing to my cartoonist dream, I needed an inconsequential character to use for a “poster comic” project. I quickly sketched out the very first appearance of TTDM intending to go back later and draw something more substantial, as I was focusing my attention on the book “Stovetop” at the time. Well, wouldn’t you know it? The damn thing was so funny that I had a friend of mine print me up a couple of hundred! The response was overwhelming!
